Eugenijus Antanas Cukermanas (b. 1935)
"Abstraction is a natural way of speaking for me"

Became from the beginning of the 80s. One of the main nonconformists in Lithuanian art, organized over 15 individual exhibitions in Lithuania, participated in 20 exhibitions abroad.
in 1992 - Grant from the Austrian Kultur Kontakt Foundation.
1997 Grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation (USA).
2000 m. Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize.
His works have Lithuanian, USA museums, private individuals in Europe, USA, in Japan.
The painting is based on the peculiar features of the abstract expressionism in terms of principles, color, rhythm, painting, it clearly stands out from all Lithuanian painting. The composition of the paintings is constructed from large color spots that cover or reveal the depth, the color is muted, ascetic. The surfaces are treated as an essential component of the work: distinctive multi-layered painting, scratches, scraping, additional layers of the canvas. The works are characterized by a suggestion of cosmic events, a stoic atmosphere, and interculturality.

Personal its space. It's like short pictorial stories, made up of found in nature plant forms placed in different stylized planes. Minimalist motifs of flower blossoms, fragile buds, bending plants, dried grass stems, plant seeds, and berries are combined here, reminiscent of the philosophical traditions of Eastern art.

"Creative thought arises from observing the visible world today. My works depict a person, a woman, being in a certain space at a certain time. (...) In my works, I convey the states of the characters, outbursts of feelings, situations experienced in my works with the color harmony of painting. The depicted world is subjectively arranged with contour lines, everything is immersed in a mosaic of objects."

"We are part of the changing universe, we do not have or know our beginning or end. We are fragmented. Abstraction is also fragmentary art. There is no literature in my works - only a tiny fragment of the synthesis of consciousness and the microcosm of nature..." This is how the author herself describes her deeply felt and abstract painting. Jūratė likes colorful, multi-layered and rich painting. She also works in the collage technique and is an excellent pastel artist. Her works are full of authenticity, creative search, depth of feelings.
Arvydas Kašauskas (b. 1959)

The main field of creativity of painter Arvydas Kašauskas is landscape. He is one of the most active and productive plein air artists in Lithuania. The artist is a good draftsman, his works are characterized not only by rich color, but also by excellent structure and composition. The developer's productivity, diligence and discipline are surprising. The works of A. Kašauskas are preserved in the Lithuanian Art Museum.
Vytautas Poška (b. 1971)
in 1988 graduated from the J. Vienožinskis Children's Art School.

Since 1999 Member of the Union of Lithuanian Artists.

The most important monumental works in public spaces:
in 1995 Fresco "Wings", technique - graphite. Vilnius
in 1996 fresco "Reflections", technique - graphite. in the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology in Molėtai.
in 1999 Fresco "Sundial", sgraffito technique, (3.10 m. x 2.55 m.) Facade of the Palace of the Lords, Vilnius.
in 2000 created scenography at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater for the performance "Days and Songs" (a musical performance based on S. Bert's book "Edith Piaf"), directed by R.Morkūnas. In 2005, he created the scenography at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater for the performance "Embrace me", directed by A. Vidžiūnas: In 2010, he created the "Iron Wolf" sculpture at the Vilnius railway station.
Vytautas Poška's painting is characterized by lightness and transparency. The artist has an exceptional sense of space. The perspective of the works seems to lead to another dimension, to the cloud, light, rises above the water and flies. Vytautas pays special attention to light. Creates playfully, expressively, as if playing. But this ease is deceptive. The artist works a lot and intensively, he appreciates the music very much, so he moves around a lot, looking for motifs. And the search for the right light sometimes forces you to paint only bright ones.
Giedra Purlytė (b. 1969)
in 1983 Graduated from Kaunas four-year art school, (Now Martinaitis art school)
in 1989 graduated from Stepa Žuks art technical school, textile specialty, (now J. Vienožinskis college of art)

in 2021 He founded a gallery in nature "Giedra gallery". Organizes plein airs, curates exhibitions, conducts art education.
Giedra's painting is sensitive and delicate. The artist has a good ear for colors and color plays the first violin in her abstractions. The compositions are soft, delicate, there are no drastic strokes or sharp corners, no desire to shock. Looking at the serene works, you willy-nilly fall into a meditative mood. Since the artist is not limited to one painting direction or style, she often looks for plots in nature. In realistic painting, light is brought to the fore, sentimental objects appear (old windows, market stalls, autumn landscapes, water reflections) that invite you to calm down and contemplate life.
Jūratė Kluonė (b. 1963)
In 1983 majored in artistic decoration at Kaunas St. Žukas School of Applied Arts.

Jūratė Kluonė is also a co-author of street art projects, she painted human figures in the biggest street art work in Kaunas "Urmo geležinkeli stotis".
Jūrate's creations are minimalistically precise, characterized by a delicate sense of moderation. In her paintings, she reveals herself as a talented portraitist, a sensitive psychologist, capable of creatively interpreting the realistic human form and giving it more global meanings and contexts. Her works reveal not only the uniqueness of the individual, but also the social context, a person's place and significance in the world. Jūratė is very interested in ecological, geopolitical and fragility themes of human existence, the visual expression of which is masterful drawing and virtuoso painting.
Peeter Krosmann (b.1971)
Artist from Tartu (Estonia), currently lives and works in Lithuania.
in 1989 began his art studies at Konrad Mägi's studio.
in 1995 received a bachelor's degree in painting from the University of Tartu.
Since 2000, he has been teaching painting, illustration, animation and comic art at the Tartu Art School.
He is known as a nurturer of traditional painting genres portrait and landscape, who works a lot from nature, as well as a master of lithography and sgraffito, author of comics, curator of exhibitions.
However, the artist is also interested in the abstract expression of painting. A distinctive feature of Peeter's work is an accurate drawing, a familiar realistic plot, but a very unexpected, original composition.
The artist is very precise, even perfectionistically demanding of himself. Perhaps that is why his works are so evocative, recognizable and surprising. A sense of humor in small details warms and entertains. It invites you to take a closer look at the painfully familiar landscape. In self-portraits, the artist does not shy away from self-irony, in portraits - gentle and subtle sarcasm. These are very transparent, bright, precise drawings and refined compositions.
Miglė Kosinskaitė (b.1965)
in 1983 graduated from the 31st secondary school in Vilnius.
in 1989 graduated from the State Art Institute, acquired the specialty of painter-pedagogue.
Since 1989 began to participate in exhibitions.
Since 2001 Member of the Union of Lithuanian Artists.
Organized over 20 personal exhibitions in Lithuania, as well as abroad - in Holland, Sweden, Ukraine, Denmark. The number of group exhibitions can no longer be counted...
The artist appreciates the freedom and solitude accompanying creativity, which she considers a source of meditation and inspiration. Her paintings, created with the help of phenomenal characters, attract attention and raise many questions. Migle is a representative of romantic surrealism. In her creative process, the story is more important than the image of the hero, and the heroes and the unexpected environment on her canvases communicate with each other, making the works even more interesting.
The themes of the paintings are often theatrical or cinematic. Mystical, fictional characters in a real landscape, or real elements of the urban landscape, melting in a fictional space, heat up the viewer's imagination. Design or pop culture icons often become the protagonists of paintings. The artist's gentle irony, woven into the canvases and strokes of the paintings, is fascinating. There is a lot of warmth and love for a person in that irony.

"The creator is somewhere between a dreamer and a scientist. A dreamer. Who remembers the images. Knows how to explain them. Write texts. I dream little. Then I watch a black and white documentary. With detective elements. With dialogues. With endless rooms in the house. Landscapes. Maybe I see colors? All that remains of them are hunches." (E.K.)
Eglė Kuckaitė is a very diverse, multifaceted creator. She not only levitates freely between genres - painting, graphics, installations, objects, but also has mastered various techniques perfectly. From etching to video or classic painting. Spruce never looks for the easy way or someone else's so-called way. She always finds HER. The intellectuality of the artist is surprising and fascinating, the bar of requirements set very high for herself as a creator. There are simply no creative compromises on the path of this artist.
Andrius Miežis (born in 1970)

Organized 22 personal exhibitions.
Participated in group exhibitions in many foreign countries, plein airs, symposiums.
Andriaus Tėvas Pranciškus Miežis is a sculptor, so creativity was natural in everyday life. He created from an early age, but he did not show his works to anyone then. From the school bench, he has excellent control of the pen. During his school days in Vilnius, he and two classmates formed a music group. A. Barley has a rebellious soul. Belonged to the punk movement, was friends with its leader Nēris Pečiūras. He was a volunteer of the National Guard, he was on duty at the Seimas, guarding the communication hub in Vilnius. As a double of the leader of the band "Antis" A. Kaušpėdas, he appeared in programs in Kaunas, Vilnius, at the "Lithuanica" festival, and toured Lithuania with "Rock March".
A. It is important for Barley that his work "works". Art for him is mathematics, which is needed to express an idea, colors, composition. The developer is not a dry mathematician. First of all, this is a person who observes the world. Taking experiences from the world, he conveys a certain point of view from his point of view in his work. Reflecting his worldliness in his work, the artist tries not to forget the child in him. "Good art for the artist is not one that answers questions, but one that asks good questions." (A.M.)
Natalia Yanekina (b.1982)
in 2003 graduated from the art school of M. Maliutin in Ivanovo (Russia), faculty of painting and pedagogy. After graduating, she actively engaged in creative activities. Constantly participates in international exhibitions and symposia.

Since 2005 is a member of the Union of Russian Artists.
Since 2008 live in Lithuania. Currently in Šiauliai.
He has already organized about 30 personal exhibitions, continues to actively create, participates in plein airs, organizes personal exhibitions. Cooperates with galleries in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai.
Natalia Yanekina's drawing is so unique that the author is easily recognized, no matter what genre she chooses. However, the recurring leitmotif in all genres is the relationship between man and nature, whether it's a landscape, still life or portrait, an animal, bird or dog will appear in each, and a bouquet of flowers on the table.
The artist's painting style could be described as lyrical abstractionism - there are not many concrete, tangible forms here, but nostalgia, a fog of memory is felt, despite the sometimes rough manner of painting, a feminine tenderness is felt. The artist is characterized by a distinctive, bright color palette, highlighting and enlargement of individual elements and tastefully, non-boringly used patterns and decorative motifs. Playful textures complement the "fabric" of the painting and give the piece coziness.
Ričardas Garbačiauskas (b. 1956)
in 1980 finished painting studies at the Vilnius Art Institute, obtained the qualifications of an artist-painter, pedagogue.

in 2011 Šiauliai municipality awarded the artist of the year award for active participation in exhibitions and development of figurative painting.
in 2012 Šiauliai Cultural Center Gallery "Laiptai" was awarded for the most artistic collection at the year's miniature exhibition. The main field of artistic creation is painting. The works of the previous creative stage are characterized by a symbolic representation of the human figure with elements of surrealism. Later works are abstract compositions inspired by the changing moods of nature. They are characterized by the texture of natural natural surfaces - land, water, rocks, and the complexity of the pictorial language. Today's abstract compositions are characterized by structure, movement of decorative forms and contrasts. Restless, as if random strokes, their intersections and rhythmicity are ever-renewing, unpredictable changing forms. Silhouettes of dark contrasting and restless strokes on light backgrounds form the compositional structures of paintings, asymmetrical movement without beginning and end. The color of the paintings is moderate, several main colors often prevail. This allows you to create the desired mood, highlight emotional tension.

Brigitta's works are light, spontaneous, she likes various formats and surfaces - canvas, paper, likes to experiment with materials and textures. She is inspired by the forms of nature, and the created paintings are filled with freedom.

The artist is an excellent draftsman and her diligence and productivity are surprising. She is well-versed in pastels, watercolors, various graphic techniques, and is also a master of easel painting, the secrets of which she shares with students of the Lviv Academy of Fine Arts.
Iryna's credo:
"Beauty will conquer the world. All life is a struggle between good and evil. I can see, but I can't draw war. Art should be optimistic, positive. In my opinion, goodness is beauty."

Lubov's works are stored in the State Art Museum, art museums and private collections in Ukraine and Europe.
In Lubov's work, the influence of the Byzantine icon, respect for the ethnic heritage of Western Ukraine is strongly felt. The artist has discovered a unique distinctive feature that combines classics and modern stylization, boldly mixing techniques, while at the same time responsibly and carefully following technological principles.
Lubov motto:
"I see the image, but I draw my thoughts. The harmony of simple, calm images is dear to me. Peace and harmony are modest. God lives in small things, not in mansions and not in empires."
Oksana Svizhak (b.1986)
in 2005 Graduated from the Taras Shevchenko State Art School, painting department.
in 2011 Graduated from the National Academy of Arts and Architecture.

Currently lives in Kyiv.
Participant of many national and international exhibitions, symposiums and plein airs.
Participant of the Siluva Art Biennale (2019). Oksana is a very modern young Ukrainian artist who is looking for various modern means of expression, despite this, she adheres to the principles of classical painting and skillfully controls the brush. Oksana's painting is light and transparent, the color combinations are fresh and unexpected. Her works are full of joy and freedom. Unbelievable color solutions and emergent emerald, bright yellow or pink strokes are full of thirst for life and joy.
Oksana's credo:
"The most important thing is to feel what you observe, then you can perceive life in the context of your experience. One technique cannot convey different emotions. Therefore, I work in painting, levka, outdoor drawing, video. My paintings are like frozen frames of a film, with an independent emotion."
Oleksandr Nikolaevskiy (b.1956)
in 1983 Graduated from Kharkiv Institute of Construction and Architecture. Since 1992 Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Since 2005 Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Participant of many Ukrainian and international exhibitions and plein airs.
in 2009 Winner of the Yablonska Prize of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
in 2011 Laureate of the diplomas of the Archipos Kuindži Memorial, the international program "Olympus of Art", the program "National Gold Fund: Ukraine. Europe. The World". Oleksandr draws inspiration from nature, likes to sketch live, does not use photographs. Since he studied architecture, he is indifferent to the beauty of cities and towns. The colors of the works are bright, sunny, the strokes are assured, as befits the master's hand. The artist works hard and fast. Sketches are born here and now, a drawing is expertly constructed with pastel or simple felt-tip pens, light and color are noted. Later, one works with oil on canvas, works more carefully with the composition, layers, relief and richer textures appear.
Credo of Oleksandr:
"The artist does not really depict what he sees, but his moods. Therefore, the purpose of the painting is to make the viewer feel the emotion that the author of the painting felt. You don't have to like the picture 100 percent at first glance. If that happens, you won't experience the mystery and discovery when you meet the painting later."
Olena Zherebetska (b.1968)
in 1995 Graduated from Lviv National Academy of Arts.
Currently, she is a senior lecturer at the Press and Book Graphics Department of the Press Academy of Ukraine.
Since 2005 Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Since 2006 Member of the Union of Ukrainian Designers.
Since 2011 Member of the Women's Chamber of Business of Ukraine.
Currently lives in Lviv.
Actively participates in national and international art competitions and exhibitions. Participant of many art exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Israel.
Olena Zherebetska's exhibition activity was accompanied by numerous publications in Ukraine and abroad. Oksana has discovered an original acrylic technique - between graphics and painting. While laying brightly colored strokes on the canvas, she also uses graphic, well-mastered hand drawing with special graphic tools: golden, bronze textured pens, etc. In this way, Olena's works look very different from different lighting angles. They seem to sparkle. Details that emerge in the light, that disappear in the shadows.
Olena's credo:
"Life is wonderful. My paintings are meant to provide hope and optimism. This is exactly what I am currently trying to convey through the motif of the bee in the paintings: the bee is life, in it we can see the mother bee, and in honey we can see success and wealth. Where there are bees, there is life."
Solomiya Dorosh (b.1994)
Studied at Lviv Art School,
in 2017 graduated from Lviv Press Academy.
She works as a lecturer at the Department of Books and Press Graphics at the Press Academy.
Graduate student of the Press Academy, dissertation topic - Augmented reality in books.
Currently lives in Lviv.
Solomiya is a young, budding promising artist who already has clear creative guidelines and graphic-painting direction. Solomiya actively participates in various exhibitions-competitions of small graphics around the world, works in the field of exlibris, and also tries his hand at painting. In the canvases, the images are stylized, the drawing has aspects of nature and the objects are recognizable, but realistic resemblance is not sought. Generalized spots prevail, color restraint, paying more attention to graphic composition and textures.
Solomiya Credo:
"My vocation is graphics, but I'm interested in combining graphics with painting, because painting allows me to break away from printing techniques and thus gives me more freedom. In my works, I encode my thoughts with the incompleteness of the form, so that the viewer himself can extend the emotion and thought"
Vaidas Žvirblis (b.1964)
Painter, sculptor, book illustrator.
Studied at the Naujalis Art School in Kaunas, specializing in painting.
In 1991, he graduated from the Kaunas Art Institute of the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
2008 Awarded by the Lithuanian Arts Council for the most beautiful children's book of the year.
Organized over 15 personal exhibitions and participated in more than 20 group exhibitions.
Vaidas lived in Australia for a long time, where he was inspired by Aboriginal art. Impressed with the stylization of the forms, with the conciseness of the drawing and the colors of the earth, he found connections with street art in the expression of the aborigines. It is an understated, unexalted expression, understood as a temporary work: it can be washed away by the rain or wiped off the wall. In his works, Vaidas combines the primitivism of Aboriginal art and the spontaneity of street art.
"In my sculptures, I often use objects that are otherwise seen as garbage in everyday life. You can't not see them - they're eye-catching everywhere, but they're beautiful to me. I also use recycled materials for my works: old furniture fasteners, fence boards or old things and toys thrown into the attic. I use grass, straw, clay or cement mixture, acrylic and oil paints. The variety and incompatibility of materials sometimes gives surprising results, the strangest combinations and textures. In drawings and illustrations, I focus more on the story than on the technique. I am more conservative here."
